The annual HVAC&R Industry Showcase drew an impressive turnout this year, with over 300 students and 33 companies in attendance. Representatives shared insights into real-industry experiences in areas such as energy efficiency, sustainable building solutions, and much more. Overall, the event demonstrated the growing importance of HVAC&R in addressing global needs, including energy and sustainability challenges. It also showcased the exciting career paths available across this evolving field, including job and internship opportunities for current students.
“The HVAC&R career fair was fantastic… The interviewers had time to talk, and a number of people remembered me from last year. The fair also encouraged me to attend more HVAC club meetings and tag along on the San Jose ASHRAE trip, where I met a number of new friends and learned a lot about the industry,” said Andrew Chapin, second year Mechanical Engineering major, when asked about the event.
