Field Trip

On May 19 we will leave campus midday to attend the SoCal ASHRAE Chapter Student Night, which will be hosted at the Local Union 105 Sheet Metal Union facility. The evening will include a tour of the different sheet metal laboratory installations, award of scholarships, presentation by a Cal Poly senior project team, networking with industry professionals, and more.

On May 20 we will visit Arup to learn about careers within the HVAC&R industry and to tour a working facility. We will do a team building outing and return to campus in the evening.

The trip is free and includes all meals, a team building outing, and the hotel for Tuesday night.

The Cal Poly ASHRAE Student Branch invites HVAC&R industry professionals and companies to join our 2025 Fall Industry Showcase. This annual event is a unique opportunity for companies to:

Connect with highly motivated Mechanical Engineering students
Promote career and internship opportunities
Engage with Cal Poly’s HVAC&R program and research initiatives

Lunch will be provided, and parking/logistics information will be shared with registered companies after the registration deadline.

For 2026, we have streamlined our annual fundraiser to focus on the Annual Event Dinner while also creating a new year-round recognition opportunity inside the Cal Poly HVAC&R Lab. Sponsors will receive visibility in the lab for one year and recognition at the Dinner, helping us strengthen industry partnership while directly supporting student success.

Sponsor an FE Exam – $300
Supports the FE Exam fee for one HVAC&R student (does not include logo placement in the HVAC&R Lab, logo placement begins at Bronze level and above).

The HVAC&R Lab serves more than 300 students each year, so your sponsorship provides both meaningful program support and highly visible recognition. After submitting your donation, please contact Steffen Peuker, speuker@calpoly.edu, to get instructions on how to submit your company logo for the lab display. Please note that sponsorship received after July 31, 2026 will be applied to next year’s fundraiser.
