Fall 2024 HVAC&R Industry Showcase
The Cal Poly San Luis Obispo ASHRAE Student branch would like to invite you to the Fall 2024 Cal Poly HVAC&R Fall Industry Showcase. The Showcase will take place from 11 am to 4 pm on Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Advanced Technologies Lab (ATL) and Bonderson Building on Cal Poly’s Campus. 19th Annual HVAC&R Event – Golf, Wine Tour, Mountain Biking
We are excited to announce that our 19th Annual HVAC&R Event – Golf, Wine Tour, Mountain Biking – will happen on October 12, 2024:
- Select your own foursome or be matched up in any foursome in this Combined Scramble and Best Ball Format tournament held at the Avila Beach Golf Resort.
- Tour the Central Coast’s fabulous wineries.
- The mountain bike ride is mostly single-track cross-country riding with some technical sections through the scenic Central Coast.
Everybody, including the Industry Showcase Participants, are invited to the complimentary mixer with appetizers and a selection of beer and wine on Friday, Oct. 11, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., in the courtyard of building 13.
New this year, we are offering an event for families who tag along for the weekend and want something to do while people golf or bike ride. The event will be under the tent at the Avila Beach Golf Resort lawn, and next to beach and water access. Cal Poly students, who are child development majors and work at the Cal Poly Preschool Lab (i.e., these college students know what they are doing!), will be on hand to help watch kids and be ready with lawn games for all ages to enjoy. Lunch of turkey sandwiches, fruit, potato salad and cookies will be provided. Please join us for fun in the sun (and shade). Students will stay through the Saturday mixer, that’s 3-5pm, so parents can enjoy the mixer event as well. Questions, please email Jennifer Mott (jpeuker@calpoly.edu). Please RSVP so we know numbers and ages for the food and activity planning. NOTE: This is NOT a drop off event. Parent(s) are expected to stay on the Avila Beach Golf Resort property and be available for emergencies.
